MATTHEW MOLLOY JOINS GOLFERS INCORPORATED AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND V.P. OF GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.—Golfers Incorporated, a national golf brands and media company, announced today that golf industry veteran Matthew Molloy has been named Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Global Distribution.

Molloy is well-known in the golf business as the driving force behind the success of Rife Putters, a company he helped launch and then led to become the fifth largest putter distributor in the United States.

Golfers Incorporated is a family of companies specializing in national golf product development, television and video production, media advertising and global distribution. Well-known products brought to market by the company’s media division, The Golf Agency, include the Orlimar Trimetal, the SkyCaddie, AJ Golf, F2 Golf, Roger Fredericks Flexibility and many others. In 2010, one of the company’s products, the Tour Striker training club endorsed by Gary McCord, was introduced. Molloy is a former professional tour player and inventor of The Plane Stick, a golf-training product that was launched in 2002 and quickly became one of the most trusted training aids in golf instruction. In 2004, Molloy teamed with putter designer Guerin Rife and helped bring the “Two Bar” putter design to market via an infomercial campaign. Molloy developed the business model and helped raise both initial seed financing as well as growth capital which enabled Guerin Rife Putters, LLC to become a prominent player in the putter industry since its launch in 2005.

In 2007, Molloy was named president of Rife Putters and in less than a year the company had doubled sales, earning approximately five percent of the U.S. putter market share. Rife Putters also developed one of the top Tour programs of any independent putter company in the industry. Under Molloy’s leadership, Rife had become the number-one putter used on the Champions Tour and had wins by many top players around the world, including Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Andres Romero, Karrie Webb, Tom Kite, John Cook, Dana Quigley and Andy Bean.

Sacks has been in the golf industry since 1974 and in the last 30-plus years he has been a pioneer in golf marketing and manufacturing. Sacks was a co-founder of Goldwin Golf. With Goldwin, Sacks oversaw the complete marketing effort that included public relations, advertising development, advertising placement and all point-of-purchase materials. He also designed and built a successful sales organization consisting of inside and outside sales representatives that sold tens of thousands of a revolutionary golf product well before the first production piece was manufactured.

In 1996 Sacks became director of sales and marketing for Carbite Golf. While there, sales went from $1 million to $19 million in a four-year period. At Carbite he was heavily involved in direct response sales, infomercials, direct mail and wholesale sales, and he also successfully re-introduced Daiwa, into the U.S. market.

In mid 2007 Sacks became National Sales Manager at Rife Putters. Under Sacks’ guidance, Rife went from 16 to 40 outside sales representatives and sales to the largest golf retailers increased between 200 and 300 percent.

With Golfers Incorporated, Sacks will focus on global retail sales and distribution for existing and future golf products. Current products include Tour Striker, F2 Golf and Energy Athletic™ Golf.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - Tour Striker, the new training golf clubs designed by teaching professional Martin Chuck, PGA, director of golf at Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Oregon, has been launched to overwhelming sales success, with thousands of training clubs already sold in just a few weeks after its national launch in May 2010.

“Tour Striker is a club that teaches golfers the tour players’ secret to ball striking,” said Gary McCord, a veteran star of the PGA Tour and long-time television golf commentator. “Why are professional golfers as good as they are? Well, because regardless of their swing style or shape, their impact position—a downward strike with the shaft leaning forward—is the same. The original Tour Striker 8 iron, Tour Striker Pro 7 iron and Tour Striker 56-degree wedge training clubs feature distinctive designs that have little clubface below the "sweet spot" like a traditional club. The clubs have been designed so golfers intuitively teach themselves how to deliver the "sweet spot" of the club to the ball like an expert ball striker.

“I found myself teaching so many golfers who were trying to scoop the ball at the bottom of the swing,” said Chuck. “That was how they tried to get the ball in the air. The Original Tour Striker is targeted for mid-to-high handicap golfers and those with slower swing speeds (under 90 mph with driver), while the Tour Striker Pro is geared for dedicated players with higher swing speeds and a handicap of 10 or less. The ladies/junior model is slightly shorter than the regular Tour Striker (35 inches vs. 36 inches) and has a graphite shaft appropriate for women and juniors.
